Potter/Painter
A committed citizen of the Durham Region for the last 30 years of living, creating, and working. This is my home; my community. I have had so many opportunities creating, learning and growing here, as a “Durham Region Handmade” Artist, Educator, & Social Justice Advocate.
My work has always been all over the place. An organized mess of excitement and challenge. In Art and the creation process….there is always more. It is a necessity for me to have artistic space and make Art. My two mediums of choice are ceramics and acrylic painting. There is something very magical about working and building with clay, the Earth’s mud. It is organic, energy based and alive. Currently I am focused on handbuilding. I have set my home up to be my studio, which will compliment my love for creating and teaching Art.
These days, I am happiest, creating for me first, and an audience second. Finest moments of my teaching career are when students are proud, feel accomplished, and experience euphoric shakes of confirmation in their skills. I have been a highschool educator for the last 21 years, teaching Visual Arts for 19 years. Art is the cornerstone of my foundation, liberation, and salvation. It continues to awe, inspire, and motivate me. I hope that others will choose to support me by creating Artwork with me.

Danu
Getting in touch with my Irish roots. Celebrating and acknowledging the primordial Mother Goddess Danu.
She is a powerful figure associated with nature, fertility, and the earth's abundance, often linked to rivers and water. Danu is also seen as a symbol of wisdom, knowledge, and strength, embodying the nurturing and assertive aspects of a goddess.
